About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Policy and Strategy Analyst to support our customer onsite in Bethesda, MD. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support Government Leads in the development and implementation of security policy and strategy, and promote and communicate shared vision, mission, values, and goals. 
  • Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: 
  • Writing and/or updating existing policy, taking it through the staffing collaboration process, and overseeing its implementation across the Government. 
  • Assisting Government Leads in preparing interagency security strategic assessments to determine how well the IC and US Government are postured to implement security policy. 
  • Assisting Government leads in responding to Congressional taskers. 
  • Drafting talking points, white papers, and reports for senior leaders. 
  • Preparing briefing materials for senior leaders. 
  • Support will include integration, process optimization, and scheduling-related tasks for these assessments. Specific examples include working across sub-teams to collect and collate monthly reports, scheduling, drafting meeting minutes, following up on interagency planning meetings, and updating policies and SOPs. 
  • Review documents for technical correction and edits in the development of Congressional actions and testimony, budget presentations, issue papers, and talking points. 
  • Conduct analysis to help identify issues and trends. 
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in social, political, physical, natural or business sciences; humanities; engineering or mathematics; or other field directly relating to strategic planning and evaluation. 
  • Requires BA/BS + 5 years of experience  
  • TS/SCI w/Poly level clearance. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IC organizations’ missions in order to develop the national-level strategies and policies necessary to support U.S. national security and foreign policy interests. 
  • Ability to navigate legal authorities and apply them to policy. 
  • Ability to manage the implementation of policy across the Government.  
  • Demonstrated extensive understanding of performance principles and superior ability to advise organizations on the application of performance evaluation methods. 
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in supporting working groups, managing competing priorities, advocating new ideas/concepts/processes, provide recommendations on time-sensitive issues, and work collaboratively across the IC. 

 

Desired:

  • Knowledge of ICD 705 is a plus.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
