Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Program and Workforce Integration Lead to serve as a strategic leader responsible for integrating workforce planning, program delivery, and operational execution across U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) analytics and intelligence programs.

 

This role operates at the contract level, ensuring alignment between workforce capabilities, Agile delivery teams, and program deliverables. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Program Manager, the Program and Workforce Integration Lead drives workforce readiness, delivery performance, and cross-team integration while advancing Lean Agile, DevSecOps, and IT governance best practices.

 

The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, with the ability to translate mission priorities into coordinated workforce and delivery outcomes.

 

Support will be provided across multiple mission locations:

  • Ashburn, VA
  • Sterling, VA
  • Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead contract-wide workforce planning and resource strategy, aligning staffing, skills, and capacity to program deliverables and mission priorities.
  • Oversee integration of multiple Agile teams, ensuring alignment across scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
  • Drive program execution performance by monitoring workforce metrics, delivery health (e.g., velocity, predictability), and KPI trends.
  • Partner with the Program Manager to ensure successful delivery of contract requirements, including milestones, SLAs, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate program-level Agile ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums) and promote consistency in Agile and DevSecOps practices.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and resource conflicts, proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and briefings, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on workforce, delivery, and program health.
  • Ensure compliance with CBP/DHS governance, cybersecurity, and quality standards, supporting audit readiness and documentation traceability.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between leadership and delivery teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and transparency.
  • Drive continuous improvement and workforce development, including mentoring, succession planning, and team performance optimization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; or 9 years with HS diploma/equivalent in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in workforce management, Agile program leadership, or IT program operations.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps practices in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple Agile teams and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience supporting program-level reporting, workforce analytics, and executive communications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required CBP BI suitability
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certifications such as SAFe SPC, SAFe RTE, PMP, or PMI-ACP.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams.
  • Experience supporting federal or regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF, ATO).

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
