About The Role

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Program Financial Analyst to support secure, real‑time data delivery across advanced C2ISR transport environments in direct support of U.S. warfighters. This role operates at the intersection of mission assurance, financial stewardship, and complex operational support, enabling data‑driven decisions that strengthen national security.

 

You will work within a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment supporting distributed systems, resilient data transport solutions, and enterprise‑level program execution.

 

Responsibilities

 

In this role, you will deliver end‑to‑end program financial management and serve as a key contributor within the program’s PMO support structure.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert financial management across budgeting, expenditure monitoring, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance‑based and zero‑based budgeting methodologies.
  • Track and maintain program financial resources within PMO frameworks, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and audit‑ready documentation.
  • Conduct routine analysis of contract expenditures, identifying cost deviations, risks, and trends across multiple program elements.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems, dashboards, cost projections, and spend plans to inform decision‑making for C2ISR Transport Infrastructure initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial results during monthly customer program reviews.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for cost efficiency, technical compliance, and alignment with program objectives.
  • Support program leadership with resource allocation strategies and optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain financial accountability throughout the procurement lifecycle, from sourcing to delivery and integration.
  • Perform variance analysis, cost efficiencies assessments, and budget explanations across assigned projects.
  • Prepare financial deliverables such as EACs, ETCs, monthly status reports, PRD cost estimates (ROM and CLIN‑level), and market research documentation.
  • Support billing processes and ensure timely, accurate monthly invoicing.
  • Monitor spending versus plan and proactively communicate risk areas, overruns, underruns, and funding needs.
  • Assist with audit responses, financial compliance, and Section F documentation.
  • Provide program staff with financial guidance on the implications of program changes.
  • Validate quarterly backlog revenue and monitor DSO to support cash collection initiatives.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for financial data and reporting.
  • Utilize program financial tools including:
    • Financial forecasting dashboards
    • CLIN/PRD spend trackers
    • G‑Invoicing budget systems
    • Excel/Power BI forecasting models
    • Subcontractor cost trackers
    • PMP financial inputs
    • CCAR/FEM, DEAMS, and other government financial systems
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS/MA, or 12 years of experience with no degree.
  • Previous experience as a Finance Analyst or in a similar financial management role supporting a DoD customer at the Combatant Command (CCMD) level.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, auditing, cost analysis, program financial reporting, and performance-based budgeting.
  • Experience reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices, travel, and program expenditures.
  • A current, active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Completion of a DoD‑approved IA baseline certification for ADP‑III/IT‑III based on IAT level and CE/Operating System requirements within six months of assignment.
  •  Experience supporting CPAF or CPFF contracts.
  • OCONUS program support experience, including logistics coordination, travel, and special pay allowances.
  • Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Deltek CostPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet recurring deadlines.
  • Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and federal financial regulations.
  • Experience supporting C2ISR, communications infrastructure, distributed systems, or sensor‑enabled programs.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • On-site expectations: Full-time, on-site presence required to support equipment management, asset tracking, and mission‑critical coordination.
  • Travel: May require occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel for logistics coordination, facility assessments, and mission support activities.

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
