Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. 

 

The qualified candidate must be local to Phoenix, AZ as this is a hyrbid position.

 

Peraton’s First Responder Solutions (FRS) program provides state-of-the-art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) solutions to a variety of first responder customers across the country and internationally. FRS is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team, to ensure that a quality product is being validated and delivered to our customer.

 

The hired individual will work on an Agile development team as a Tester for mission critical software we provide to our customers and will support our software development lifecycle from planning to delivery.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create and perform tests, develop test plans and scripts, and ensure software meets quality standards and customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain standards for quality, including operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures; working closely with the product teams and leadership to establish and sustain success.
  • Evaluate requirements and sub-systems; compile data and define changes required in product design, testing procedures, and process.
  • Develop documentation as required to support customer, test, and certification requirements.
  • Support improvements to quality assurance requirements as needed.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree or a High School diploma and 4 years of experience. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
  • Foundational knowledge of software testing lifecycle, methodologies (Agile, Scrum), and QA best practices
  • Successful candidate will possess outstanding written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve critical issues.
  • Experience/knowledge in functional and non-functional software testing
  • Experience/knowledge in automated and load testing
  • Proficiency in the following operating systems:
    • Windows
    • Linux
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application suite.
  • Ability to travel 10% Domestic & International

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG)
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with API testing and backend validation
  • Internship or academic project related to software quality assurance or development
  • Proficiency in SAFe/Agile methodologies
  • Strong Analytical and Technical acumen
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
