Successful aviation programs depend on proactive risk management and disciplined oversight. Peraton is seeking a Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk, opportunity, and issue management activities supporting high-visibility programs aligned with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is ideal for a professional who excels at analyzing complex program environments, anticipating potential challenges, and guiding teams toward proactive, strategic solutions.

In this role, you will establish and maintain the framework that identifies potential threats, uncovers opportunities, and ensures program risks are mitigated before they impact mission delivery. You will work closely with program leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders to implement structured risk management processes that support operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
Develop and maintain the Risk, Opportunity, and Issue Management Plan across program portfolios. Establish and manage enterprise risk registers and tracking mechanisms. Identify potential risks and opportunities affecting program performance, cost, schedule, and technical execution. Conduct risk impact assessments and probability analyses to support informed decision-making.
Enforce risk management policies aligned with federal regulations, agency guidance, and contractual requirements. Ensure compliance with program governance frameworks and regulatory standards. Support program leadership during internal reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and corrective action plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement effective risk response strategies. Monitor risk mitigation efforts and ensure timely resolution of issues. Identify emerging risks and recommend proactive solutions to prevent operational disruptions.
Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and operational teams to identify and manage risks across workstreams. Facilitate risk management workshops and risk review meetings with stakeholders. Provide leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations related to program risk posture.
Develop risk dashboards, executive reports, and briefing materials to communicate program risk status. Track and analyze trends in risks, issues, and mitigation effectiveness. Support leadership decision-making through structured risk analysis and forecasting.
