About The Role

Position Overview

Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of Enterprise IT and Cybersecurity Services for a Department of Energy client. This role is responsible for overall task order execution, including technical delivery, contract compliance, financial performance, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in federal IT programs, cybersecurity frameworks, and managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

 

Program Leadership & Execution

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for a complex IT and cybersecurity services program.
  • Manage all aspects of program delivery, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee integrated project schedules, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.

 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders and contracting officers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead program reviews, briefings, and status meetings with senior government officials.

 

Technical Oversight

  • Oversee delivery of enterprise IT services (e.g., network operations, cloud services, service desk, infrastructure).
  • Ensure cybersecurity services align with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust architecture).
  • Guide implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient IT solutions.

 

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage program budget, forecasting, and financial performance (P&L responsibility).
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, FAR/DFAR regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and vendor management.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of technical, operational, and project management professionals.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff.

 

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements, audits, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting required for contract and organizational governance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of experience (10+ years of experience managing large-scale federal IT programs.)
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise IT and cybersecurity services.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, FISMA).
  • Experience managing contracts with values of $100M+.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
  • Active security clearance (Q)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in federal environments.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and modern cybersecurity practices.
  • ITIL certification or experience with IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.

Target Salary Range: $229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
