About The Role

The Senior Functional Specialist Analyst will provide expert guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to clients and project teams across specialized domains, including engineering and technology, planning, analysis, training and development, facilities, communications, visual design, business, and management.

Support the Government in onboarding and enabling users on newly developed and deployed applications and services. Gather user needs and requirements, translate them into actionable solutions, and integrate new capabilities into the target (“to-be”) architecture. Oversee products and services throughout the lifecycle, ensuring compliance with requirements through rigorous test and measurement activities, and lead quality assurance efforts.

Collaborate closely with assigned staff, senior specialists, and task leads. May direct and coordinate the activities of specialists and other personnel as needed within the relevant discipline.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design approach and feasibility within time and cost constraints

  • Review and refine existing programs to improve performance, reduce operating time, and enhance current methodologies

  • Collaborate with users, systems analysts, engineers, and developers to define project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and system interfaces

  • Provide training on both legacy and modernized exploitation and analysis tools

  • Advise customers on software system design, implementation, and maintenance

  • Coordinate with data processing and project managers to assess capabilities and constraints for data processing initiatives

  • Prepare reports and correspondence detailing project specifications, activities, and status

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, with 12+ years of relevant professional experience; or 12+ years of experience as a Functional Specialist/Advisor in lieu of a degree

  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance and leadership in high-technology programs

  • Experience within a defined functional or cross-functional business area, potentially spanning multiple sectors (e.g., government and industry), including familiarity with relevant tools, methodologies, certifications, and best practices

  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant STEM field

  • Senior-level experience across all phases of the PED (Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination) lifecycle

  • Experience in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, or Image Science

  • Advanced experience with imagery exploitation tools and services

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including associated tools and languages

  • Prior experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects

  • Previous experience within DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) programs

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
