About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership across complex programs supporting the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. In this role, you will lead engineering teams in applying a multi-disciplinary systems engineering approach to deliver timely, accurate GEOINT capabilities across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Mid-level and Junior Systems Engineers in requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, and maintainability analysis across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency programs.
- Guide the planning and traceability of user requirements, system architectures, procedures, and technical issues to automate and improve existing systems while evaluating cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations.
- Direct the development of solution designs based on mission requirements, systems analysis, and emerging technologies.
- Support the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements, then allocating those requirements across architecture components and execution programs.
- Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments to inform technical decisions.
- Assist with systems integration, strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design across complex acquisition efforts.
- Integrate multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces across major system acquisitions that span organizational and agency boundaries.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific discipline such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or another STEM field; or 12+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 12+ years' experience in government or industry supporting:
- DoD/IC Acquisition Process
- Requirements Process
- PPBES Process
- Large, complex System of Systems
- Service-Oriented Architecture or Cloud environments
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM discipline
- Working knowledge of:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- systems engineering tools and languages
- software development frameworks
- International Council on Systems Engineering Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
- Experience in geospatial intelligence
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Membership or leadership participation in organizations such as:
- American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
- American Society of Civil Engineers
- American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
- Open Geospatial Consortium
- Society of American Military Engineers
- United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
- Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, GIS, geomatics, or related disciplines
- Knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments
Details
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
