About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Senior Mobility Systems Engineer to support the design, fielding, and sustainment of MacBook, JAMF, and Mobile Device Management (MDM)/Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platforms.  This person must have operational support and extensive knowledge of the mobility ecosystem, including experience with mobile device patching and application support.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Configure DHS OCIO Mobility – Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution (i.e., VMWare Workspace ONE, Intune, JAMF) and deploy mobile archive apps/connectors when applicable 
  • Requirements gathering for business mobility solutions or technologies to facilitate deployment of new and/or improve maintenance of existing mobile solutions
  • Determine hardware, software, and resource requirements to implement and upgrade Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments based on current and forecasted customer requirements 
  • Develop test plans and support documentation (Quick Reference Guides) to enable quality deployment of business mobility solutions  
  • Develop on-boarding and off-boarding processes for use of mobile archiving. 
  • Serve as technical liaison to vendors for customer MDM environment support issues  
  • Coordinate the evaluation of mobility solution requests from the various business areas.  
  • Understand and comply with Change Management processes for client environments 
  • Review and evaluate mobile applications for work-flow and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards. 
  • Design and lead all aspects of infrastructure patches and operations, to include mobile device OS 
  • Resolve escalated issues that arise from operations that require coordination with other teams/vendors
  • Develop and manage the mobile application life-cycle management process
  • Perform analysis, diagnose, and resolve complex problems from customers and recommend/implement the corrective solutions
  • Respond to incoming calls, e-mails, instant messages, and voicemails as well as ticket queues
  • Provide assessments of technical and operational practices based on industry standards
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with management, staff, and people at all levels, both internally and externally
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Security Clearance, and/or EOD clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, a Masters Degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and seven years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of MacBook development and/or support, JAMF on-premise and/or JAMF SaaS
  • Minimum of 5 years of Mobility Device Management (MDM) engineering ecosystem support - design, deployment, and sustainment
  • Knowledge of engineering and configuring On-Premise Workspace One UEM (formally AirWatch)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux Server Administration
  • Knowledge of on-premise Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (and its Conditional Access Controls)
  • Knowledge of engineering PKI concepts and certificate integrations 
  • Knowledge of NTLM, SAML, OAUTH, Kerberos, Kerberos Constrained Delegation, Certificate Authentication  
  • Knowledge of Windows SQL Servers and PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of OSI layers to support network troubleshooting methodologies 
  • Knowledge of engineering and configuring Single Sign-On solutions on iOS mobile devices  
  • Knowledge of executing API calls (i.e., GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, etc.…) 
  • Experience configuring iOS mobile devices
Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
