About The Role
Peraton is hiring for a Senior Web UI/UX Designer to join our team at Fort Huachuca, AZ. The qualified candidate will become part of Peraton's Military Intelligence Information Technology Support (MIITS) Program, for the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE). This initiative is intended to innovate and modernize web-based solutions to further support USAICoE and their customers.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Web UI/UX Designer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Translate complex user requirements into high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes that explicitly account for front-end logic, state management, and responsive breakpoints
- Develop and monitor design policies and UI standards for all web applications and internal platforms, ensuring a consistent visual identity and intuitive navigation flow across the entire ecosystem for PCs, VMs, and virtual appliances
- Collaborate with backend engineering and developer teams to define interface specifications, ensuring that UI components are properly integrated with APIs and that design iterations account for data structure and state management requirements
- Review front-end implementation for design fidelity and serviceability, providing technical guidance and CSS/UI mentorship to the broader development team
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- 2 years' experience with BS/BA, or 6 years related experience with no degree
- Secret DoD Clearance, ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD Clearance
- Experience in UI/UX design leveraging tools such as Penpot, Figma, Balsamiq, or comparable prototyping tools
- Experience supporting software development activities for software projects specializing in the development of enterprise web applications
- Experience in full life cycle software development and maintenance projects with involvement in requirements management, technical design and development, and deployment
- Experience developing and deploying software systems in an incremental manner using Agile methodology
- Experience with scrum processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting the Intelligence Center of Excellence or the MI community
- Security+ (or other IAT II qualified certification)
- Experience with front end development using HTML / CSS / JavaScript, and Microsoft .NET Core leveraging modern frameworks within enterprise web-based applications within an Agile environment
- Experience with typography, visual hierarchy, and color theory within complex web applications
- Experience with front-end development using HTML / CSS / JavaScript, and Microsoft .NET Core
- Experience with auditing/tuning frontend system performance, optimizing asset delivery, CSS architecture, and responsive breakpoints to ensure a seamless user experience across all supported browsers and devices
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD automation
- Experience developing, deploying, and managing applications in AWS cloud environments

Details
Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
