Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires a Deployed Systems Support Engineer to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located on Camp Lejeune, NC. 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The Deployed Systems Support Engineer plays a pivotal role within our IT support team, providing deployed systems support in line with the SIE OPORD.

 

  • Supports the cloud and virtualized resources hosted on the hyperconverged/edge-based deployed system (e.g., VMWare, Azure Stack, AWS Outpost, etc.).
  • Provides technical assistance and training to end users and contractors.
  • Updates/maintains Commercial Solutions for Classified, wireless (NIPR, SIPR and Gray), Executive Comms Kits, Certification Authority Management, etc.
  • Designs, configures, and supports the hosted resources on the deployed system, including virtualized computers (VMs), serverless computer instances, virtualized storage, virtualized networking and other services.
  • Provides backup administrator support on the deployed systems as needed.
  • Conducts system education and training seminars for end users, designers, contractors, and others, as requested.
  • Conducts continuous training on assigned systems (both fixed and mobile) as these items receive updates and enhancements.
  • Assists end users with the specification of new requirements and capabilities.
  • Assists end users and contractors with job site failure analysis and hands-on work assignments.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma + 12 years experience, AA + 10 years experience, BS/BA+ 8 years experience, or MS/MA+ 6 years experience. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • DoD 8570-M IAT II

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SOF MARSOC Experience
  • CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
  • Microsoft Certified Associate (MCA) certification; VMWare, Azure, AWS, etc.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
