Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

 

Peraton requires a Technical Project Coordinator to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Position is located at SOCOM in National Capitol Region, District of Columbia.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Oversees operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, stakeholders and project team. Reviews status of projects, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, contractor staff, and other stakeholders. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the daily management of project operations, supporting multiple tasks and teams across various locations under the guidance of senior management.
  • Scope Management: Monitor project scope, ensuring that any changes are properly documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Milestone Tracking: Maintain and update project schedules, track milestones, and prepare status reports as needed to keep all parties informed.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with team members to foster a productive work environment, providing support and motivation to achieve project goals.
  • Decision Support: Provide input and recommendations based on project needs, assisting in decision-making processes to align with organizational objectives.
  • Standards Adherence: Ensure project activities comply with operational parameters, guidelines, and standards set by Federal, DoD, Army, JSP, and other relevant entities.
  • Reporting: Prepare project briefings for senior-level management, conveying project status and developments.
  • Progress Reviews: Contribute to the preparation of Monthly In-Progress Reviews (IPRs), detailing program status, achieved milestones, identified risks, and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project teams and government personnel/customers, facilitating clear communication and coordination.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Min 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, or 3 years with MS/MA
  • TS/SCI clearance is required
  • PMI Project Management Professional highly desired
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
