Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires a Zero Trust IT Project Manager to support the Special Operation Command

Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. 

 

This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

This position will serve as the senior subject matter expert and program lead for Zero Trust (ZT) architecture implementation, modernization, and sustainment across SOCOM’s enterprise IT environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in DoD Zero Trust frameworks, strong program management leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a high-visibility mission environment.  

  • Lead planning, execution, and oversight of Zero Trust initiatives aligned with DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Reference Architecture.
  • Develop and manage Zero Trust implementation roadmaps, milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as primary interface between SOCOM stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, engineering teams, and SITEC 3 leadership regarding Zero Trust activities.
  • Oversee integration of Zero Trust principles across identity, endpoint, network, data, application, and infrastructure pillars.
  • Ensure alignment with DoD cybersecurity policies including RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-207, and relevant DISA STIGs.
  • Provide technical guidance on micro-segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), continuous monitoring, and security automation.
  • Coordinate architecture reviews, risk assessments, and security control validation efforts.
  • Develop executive-level briefings and documentation for SOCOM leadership.
  • Manage cross-functional teams supporting engineering, cybersecurity, and operations efforts.
  • Support compliance reporting and performance tracking for Zero Trust maturity objectives.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing Zero Trust architectures within DoD or Federal environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • DoD Zero Trust Strategy & Implementation Plan
    • NIST 800-207 (Zero Trust Architecture)
    • RMF and NIST 800-53
    • Identity, access management, and PKI solutions
    • Cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or similar)
    • Experience supporting Combatant Commands or SOCOM preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and automation frameworks.
  • Experience briefing General Officer/SES-level leadership.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures in classified environments.

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
