Program Overview
About The Role

The Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking (Resilient MWT) Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) program delivers a phased, capability‑based approach to meeting the operational objectives defined in the Missile Warning (MW) and Missile Defense (MD) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Capability Development Document (CDD). 

Peraton is looking for Systems Engineers at multiple levels to support MEO program. Some of the responsibilities may include: 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain high‑fidelity SysML models for the MEO Resilient MWT ground network. 
  • Create DoDAF‑compliant architecture views (OVs, SVs, CVs, etc.). 
  • Ensure the model is integrated, traceable, and delivered to the government. 
  • Work with government leads, product owners, and stakeholders. 
  • Help define, refine, and trace requirements in the MBSE environment. 
  • Support SE processes for planning, deployment, integration, test, and configuration management of satellite ground systems. 
  • Produce high‑quality technical documentation. 
  • Create briefings for Program Status Reviews and decision meetings. 
  • Represent the organization in solving difficult technical problems. 
  • Assess proposed changes to prototype systems. 
  • Evaluate impacts to architecture, requirements, and risk. 
  • Identify and manage operational risks across teams. 
  • Work with program managers and control account managers to assess data. 
  • Provide input to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). 
  • Drive MBSE standardization and integration across the environment. 
  • Ensure modeling practices are consistent, scalable, and repeatable. 
  • Support creation and delivery of required customer artifacts. 
  • Maintain the MBSE model as a living product throughout the program lifecycle. 
Qualifications

Required: 

  • Years of degree/experience requirements:  

Level 1: BS/BA and 0 exp, or HSD and 4 

Level 2: BS/BA and 2 years, or MS/MA and 0 years, or HSD and 6 years 

Level 3: BS/BA and 5 years, or MS/MA and 3 years, or PhD and 0 years, or HSD and 9 years  

Level 4: BS/BA and 8 years, or MS/MA and 6 years, or PhD and 3, or HSD and 12 years 

Level 5: BS/BA and 12 years, or MS/MA and 10, or years PhD and 7, or HSD and 16 years 

  • Uncleared with the ability to obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance 
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures, such as AWS and OpenStack 
  • Experience using CAMEO, Rhapsody, Capella or similar to support MBSE models 
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and with stakeholders 
  • Experience developing and supporting system integration processes such as: 

Configuration Management 

Software Release Management 

Patch Management 

Change Management 

  • Up to 12 years of experience in software or hardware integration 
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence   
  • MBSE experience to manage and deliver a fully integrated and operational system 
  • Security + certificate 

Preferred: 

  • Space vehicle and or space ground network software development experience 
  • Resilient MWT Experience 
  • Knowledge of the FORGE Framework 
  • Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or government cloud environments) 
  • TS/SCI clearance 
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
