Program Overview
Supports the maintenance and enhancement of applications for joint intelligence operations, focusing on combatant command workflows. It works to improve technology effectiveness, eliminate overlaps, and prioritize customer needs by delivering data and new capabilities to support mission success.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineering, Senior Associate in our Herndon, VA location to support a large software development classified program developing, operating, and maintaining mission critical enterprise capabilities. Program includes development and support for existing mission systems in parallel with effort to develop and deliver modernized cloud native, microservice-based products. Team applies Agile methodology, DevOps principles and behavior and test-driven development practices.

 

Responsibilities:

Candidate will apply Agile development processes to implement features as defined by user stories, 3-week Sprints/3 Month Spins. Development using Java full stack. Develop/maintain platform related applications and libraries. Develop/maintain existing applications as requirements are requested and when updates are required. Candidate will resolve database issues and in creating new features/functionality for existing database.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area relevant to the position with 2+ years of applicable experience OR a Master’s degree in an area relevant to the position; an additional 4 years of applicable experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph 
  • Strong foundational knowledge working with Java OOP development.
  • Willingness to learn and become an effective team member.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering life-cycle.
  • Previous hands-on experience.
  • Previous hands-on coding experience with Python, Angular, Postgres, & SQL.

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
