Program Overview
Nationwide program dedicated to maintaining IT infrastructure operations across TSA. Contract supports all US airports and 30+ US Embassy/Consulates international sites across 30 different countries where TSA is present
About The Role

The Network Analyst - Journeyman Computer Network Support Specialist completes onsite installation, configuration, labeling and testing activities for in-scope TSA devices. They will also be working in the areas of onsite inventory, packing, shipping, and asset management activities for in-scope TSA devices.

Location: Springfield, VA

Hours: Will be required to work M-F 7:30am to 3:30pm on site at the warehouse.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Handle requests for switches, servers, as well as other IT equipment currently not able to be requested in one of the portals on iShare.
  • Handle requests which include Field Equipment Portal request accessible via portals
  • Review requests for equipment including (laptops, desktops, VOIP equipment, Peripherals & UPS, Shipping label(s), switches, servers, as well as other IT equipment), ensuring/validating completeness and accuracy, including complete and accurate shipping details,
  • Identify, Obtain and inspect equipment for request fulfillment
  • Test/Evaluate equipment to ensure it is operational leveraging existing checklists for standard test/evaluate procedures, and creating and maintaining such checklists as needed to maintain quality.
  • Image (PCs, servers, and other applicable devices)
  • Capture asset information of equipment
  • Prepare and package the equipment
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 0 years of experience or an Associates degree and 2 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent and 4 years of experience.
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an entry on duty security clearance
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of IT hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment
  • Hands-on experience with asset management, inventory control, and equipment tracking
  • Familiarity with imaging systems and processes for PCs and servers
  • Experience handling, packaging, and shipping IT equipment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and devices such as switches, routers, and VoIP equipment
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and checklists for testing and quality assurance
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to spend 4+ hours per day on your feet, often walking long distances throughout airport and office environments to support customer equipment.
  • Ability to lift 40–50 pounds when installing IT equipment.
  • Ability to push/pull carts to transport equipment.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and reach under desks to connect or repair cabling, and connect patch cables from patch panels to network switches.
  • Physical activity may include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and using hand tools.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal.
  • Subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and electrical current.

Target Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
