Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer - Senior to support Alaska-based technical modernization efforts. This role will assist with systems engineering activities such as requirements analysis, technical coordination, documentation review, systems planning, and support for implementation across complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities for assigned programs or workstreams.
  • Assist with requirements analysis, technical coordination, interface review, and systems documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, stakeholders, field teams, and leadership to support implementation planning.
  • Review technical documentation and deliverables for completeness and alignment.
  • Support issue identification, risk tracking, and technical problem resolution.
  • Assist in planning and coordination of testing, implementation, and turnover activities, as needed.

Work Location / Additional Requirements

  • This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and support field sites and remote locations, as required.
  • Ability to work in austere environments and Arctic conditions, including remote site access and limited-amenity accommodations.
  • Willingness to comply with applicable site safety, badging, and operational requirements
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience; or 6 years experience with Masters Degree, or 3 applicable experience years with PHD. 
  • Experience supporting systems engineering or technical integration efforts.
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines in a technical project environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting FAA, infrastructure, weather, or mission-critical systems.
  • Experience supporting remote-site or Alaska-based technical efforts.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering documentation and coordination practices.

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
