About The Role

Are you a systems thinker with a passion for national security, cutting-edge technology, and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT)? Join our team as a Mid-Level Systems Engineer and play a key role in delivering mission-ready capabilities across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and U.S. Federal agencies.

In this role, you’ll support the full system lifecycle, applying your expertise in requirements engineering, systems integration, testing, and sustainment to ensure complex systems are designed and delivered to meet the dynamic needs of the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requirements engineering, systems integration, and testing in support of NSG, ASG, and partner agency programs.

  • Analyze user needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.

  • Support allocation of system requirements to architectural components, systems, and subsystems.

  • Evaluate and review cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints to support hybrid infrastructure environments.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced mission effectiveness across system capabilities.

  • Perform trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), and technical evaluations to inform decision-making.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, risk assessments, and performance optimization initiatives.

  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and mission users to ensure integrated, interoperable, and mission-aligned solutions.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program,

    or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.

  • 6+ years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • 6+ years of experience working systems engineering in government or industry 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph. 

Desired:

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and
  • Working knowledge of Software Development
  • INCOSE Associate Systems engineering Professional (ASEP)
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
