About The Role

Peraton is delivering the next generation of mission‑critical command‑and‑control and enterprise software capabilities supporting the U.S. Government’s space communications infrastructure. As a Technical Trainer you will serve as a liaison among external stakeholders with diverse perspectives and the internal stakeholders of the project including the development and training teams.  In this role, you will partner closely with engineering teams to maintain compliance, strengthen system defenses, and advance mission assurance. As part of the team, you will support an exciting program which involves design, development, test, and deployment of an exciting and complex system in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders.  Join us and be part of the next generation of innovators as we blaze a trail forward for our profession and company. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Provides subject matter and Program expertise in support of the operator stakeholders at their work locations to answer questions, assist with development of operating procedures, and provide proficiency and on-the-job training.  
  • Provides operator perspectives and SME to other areas of the project including the development and training teams to ensure that operator and operational needs are understood.  
  • Provides support for exercises involving the use of Program by supporting operator use of Program tools during the exercise and coordination and troubleshooting as needed among all stakeholders including operator, operational support, and development teams to achieve the exercise goals. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Additional four relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Two (2) years Orbital Analysis and space operations experience 
  • Must have experience in communicating with all levels of leadership 
  • This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI   The candidate must maintain the clearance.  
  • Experience developing cloud, engineering or technical administrative course work to include certification material 
  • Experience directly training teams with hands-on technical workshops that are applicable to the environments they work in.  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills in leading a team and coordination with program leadership 
  • You can express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications from both an academic learner and trainer’s perspective.  
  • You are detail/process oriented, can multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with loosely organized groups of client and other contractor stakeholders toward achieving shared objectives 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Instructor experience 
  • Experience working with agile software development projects with exposure to all phases of software lifecycle, requirement to operations 
  • SSA / SDA system integration experience 
Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
