Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is hiring a Technology Insertion Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Technology Insertion Systems Engineer on our team, you will provide senior systems engineering support to an office responsible for the management and oversight of technology insertion and transition into and out of the enterprise architecture. These technology transition activities include managing the introduction of new prototype capabilities. The technology transition office provides support not only across the customer organization but to external IC partners to ensure transition stakeholder requirements are understood and considered. Transition activities include managing and supporting technology transition office process, monitoring and measuring progress through the process, identifying risks and recommending mitigations and supporting planning activities. You will provide systems engineering expertise in researching systems, services and capabilities to be inserted, documenting the known details to enable decision making by the stakeholders and capability owners. This role involves planning, monitoring, and generating systems engineering artifacts to assist the government to facilitate technology transition into and out of the capabilities architecture, and works with the government to facilitate, lead and document decision meetings to engage stakeholders in accomplishing the work. #AJCM

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Position requires  an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Experience with documentation of systems, and systems of systems in accordance with systems engineering standards and practices.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engineering projects with unique/ complex aspects that impact major capabilities or high priority to the enterprise.

 

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Ability to embrace cross-directorate collaboration, and work with/advise others who have little or no Systems Engineering Experience.

Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
