Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Compliance Specialist - Senior to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable TS/SCI cleared Compliance Specialist located at Pope Army Airfield, to support our training environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all training programs, materials, processes, and personnel activities adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards. You will serve as a key resource for compliance guidance, risk identification, and continuous improvement within the training function. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations governing training programs and learning environments. 
  • Review and audit training materials, curricula, and delivery methods to ensure alignment with applicable standards and policies. 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) specific to the training environment. 
  • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Collaborate with training coordinators, instructional designers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to integrate compliance requirements into course development. 
  • Track and manage training completion records, certifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory readiness. 
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders on a scheduled and ad hoc basis. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from training staff and learners. 
  • Stay current on changes to relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices; communicate updates to the training team in a timely manner. 
  • Support external audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews as needed. 
  • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance awareness training for staff. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a BS/BA degree or 3 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 0 years’ experience with a PhD. or 9 years’ experience w/o a degree or 7 years’ experience with AS/AA 
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
  • US citizenship is required

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, audit methodologies, and documentation best practices. 
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and records management tools. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory language into actionable guidance. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience supporting DoD, federal agency, or government contractor training programs. 
  • Familiarity with standards such as SCORM, Section 508 accessibility requirements, or ITAR/EAR compliance. 
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification. 
  • Experience with accreditation processes (e.g., IACET, NASBA, or equivalent). 
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design standards. 

Work Environment:  

  • Location: Pope Army Airfield, NC 
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
