Peraton is seeking a Web Content Manager. This position will perform the following duties but not limited too:
Content Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with DCPAD to collect requirements, prioritize topics, and maintain an editorial calendar that aligns with DHA.mil objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Translate program goals into clear content plans (articles, landing pages, FAQs, multimedia placements) consistent with DHA messaging and governance.
Writing & Editorial
- Research, write, and edit authoritative, plain‑language content for diverse audiences (beneficiaries, service members, healthcare professionals, public).
- Ensure content is accurate, current, and compliant with DCPAD’s standards and legal/disclosure requirements.
Sitecore Page Building & Markup
- Use Sitecore to build and lay out pages, assemble components, structure navigation, apply metadata, and manage content templates.
- Apply semantic HTML markup, headings, alt text, and link structures to support accessibility (Section 508) and usability.
Publishing Workflow & Governance
- Operate within defined approval workflows: draft → internal review → DCPAD approval → publish; maintain auditable records of revisions and approvals.
- Coordinate with WMT PMO for timely publishing windows and with technical teams for pre‑deployment checks (as needed).
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure no CUI, PHI/PII is posted on the public site and all content meets Section 508 (accessibility) requirements.
- Partner with WMT to follow cybersecurity hygiene and RMF-related practices applicable to content operations under ATO.
- Support QA activities (link checks, rendering across devices, regression checks after platform updates).
Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Work with WMT to integrate DHA enterprise services (e.g., analytics/observability) and contribute to continuous content improvements based on data and feedback.
- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and lessons‑learned activities to sustain continuity during staff transitions.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills marked by responsiveness and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills that comply with policies, standards, and best practices. The ability to intake requirements and direction and translate to effective messaging for the appropriate audience and delivery mode.
- Understanding of governance for public-facing government sites (accuracy, disclosure, FOIA-related considerations.
- Adept at web site management particularly information architecture, layout, and presentation.
