Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a Business Development Associate Account Manager, with proven ability to support the identification and growth of new business for the DMHS Defense Enterprise Health Solutions Team.

 

This role will be in direct support of Lead Department of Defense Account Business Development Executives to provide strategic and analytical support across key growth functions including pipeline development and management, capture management, pricing, competitive intelligence, budgeting, and proposal operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in helping the team identify, evaluate, and win new business opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities.
  • Partner with growth leadership to provide operational and analytical support across the business development lifecycle.
  • Analyze and interpret competitor budget obligations, funding profiles, and positioning strategies to inform capture efforts.
  • Research customer programs, historical spend, and budget justifications to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on market, financial, and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support proposal teams with inputs for pricing, past performance, and program intelligence.
  • Collaborate closely with capture managers, business development leads, and delivery teams to align capture strategies with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to long-range growth planning, including pipeline management, investment planning, and opportunity assessments.
  • Maintain awareness of key government contracting trends, vehicles, and customer priorities.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Business Administration, Business Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience supporting business operations, capture, or growth in a government contracting environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of the federal contract lifecycle and government acquisition processes.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI.
  • Familiarity with federal budget documents (e.g., President’s Budget, Congressional Justification Books).
  • Experience supporting strategic planning or pipeline development in a federal contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and platforms (GovWin, FPDS, SAM.gov, etc.).

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
