About The Role

Peraton, an industry leader providing innovative solutions for space, critical Intelligence Community missions, and offensive and defensive cyber operations, is actively seeking a Contracts Sr. Associate to support our Business Enablement team.  This role is ideal for a candidate with at least two years of government contracts experience and strong familiarity with federal acquisition processes and regulations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute within a collaborative team environment focused on driving enterprise consistency and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, track, and analyze federal acquisition policies and regulatory updates; support impact assessments and draft implementation frameworks for senior leadership consideration
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining acquisition and contracting policies, standards, and job aids
  • Support initiatives that enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and consistency across the contracts function
  • Contribute to analyses and recommendations related to acquisition policies for IDIQs and federal task orders across key contract vehicles (GSA, Army, Navy, and others)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input, validate requirements, and support consistent application of acquisition policy
  • Support creation of internal communications, training materials, and change‑management content
  • Maintain policy repositories, tools, templates, and SharePoint‑based knowledge management content
  • Provide research, documentation, and administrative support for CBE initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
  • Lead or support ad‑hoc reports, data calls, and special projects related to contracts policy and compliance

 

Qualifications
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and committed to data accuracy and structured task management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract lifecycle management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex issues
  • Analytical thinker with strong change‑management and communication skills
  • Self‑starter able to work independently and in a team environment

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with IDIQ, GWAC, or federal task order contracts
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies for major federal customers (GSA, Army, Navy, DHS, etc.)
  • Experience in government contracting or the defense industry
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and develop clear recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions while maintaining compliance
  • Experience training or mentoring contract team members
Details

Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
