Program Overview
Encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support for Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Cyber and Technology Security Directorate in three key offices/functional areas: Cyber Monitoring and Operations, Cyber Threat and Investigations, and Technology Innovation and Engineering State.
About The Role
Peraton is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Monitoring & Operations Task Manager to join our Federal Strategic Cyber Program, delivering leading cyber and technology security expertise to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
Location: Will require 100% on-site presence between Rosslyn, VA and Beltsville, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project management oversite and reporting for multiple projects.
- Guide the strategy, value delivery, mitigation of risks and foster innovation by working with the development teams during planning activities. Provide reporting as needed to the customers.
- Support development of Lean Business Case, project charters, detailed project plans and other project documentation.
- Conduct resource management, identify project limitations and remove blockers to ensure project success.
- Support Portfolio Manager with task tracking, mandatory reporting, as well as additional project development to include resource tracking.
- Coordinate project scheduling with engineers and other project management to ensure requirements are identified and known across the team.
- Interact with the customers and project owners to ensure they are well informed of project status as well as deviations needed for project success.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in network technology, management or operations with increasing responsibilities.
- An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must possess or be able to obtain the following certification before start date. Continued certification required as a condition of employment:
- Specialized Experience:
- 10 years of current experience in managing network security monitoring and incident response capability.
- Five (5) years in managing 24x7x365 security monitoring operations of similar size and scope as the DoS CIRT.
- Five (5) years of working knowledge of network protocols, enterprise architecture, and network security systems and products. Demonstrated analytical and communications skills.
- Seven (7) years of technical task management and supervisory experience.
- Experience utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile, Scrum or Kanban as a project/product manager.
- Experience developing project documentation and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing IT projects with a focus on agile and CI/CD.
- Experience with resource planning and tracking.
- Proven efficiency in establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Understanding technical concepts and required skillsets for implementing technical solutions.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills ~ verbal, written, presentations.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Preferred:
- CISSP or CISM certification.
- SAFe 6.0 certification

Details
Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
