Cyber Systems Engineer
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Peraton is looking for a talented Cyber Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Cyber Missions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you’ll be at the center of designing and delivering mission-critical cyber systems that support national security objectives.
As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will translate user needs and operational concepts into well-defined system requirements and architectures. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape solutions from concept through implementation, providing technical leadership and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and effective.
What You’ll Do:
Analyze user requirements, CONOPS documents, and high-level architectures to develop clear, actionable system requirements
Lead system design and development activities, from initial concept through deployment
Advise users on alternative technical approaches and conduct feasibility studies to support informed decision-making
Provide technical leadership across requirements integration, system design, and technology selection
Develop and maintain system architecture, design documentation, and other technical deliverables
Guide system development and implementation planning, including systems engineering management plans and integration and test plans
Integrate new systems, designs, and capabilities into ongoing operations
Serve as a key technical interface with Government stakeholders, addressing engineering considerations, risks, and challenges
Ensure the technical integrity and quality of all systems engineering deliverables
Communicate effectively with program teams, government overseers, and senior leadership

Required Qualifications:
10+ years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
(Five additional years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a degree)
Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience serving as a Technical Task Order Lead
