Deputy Program Manager – SITE III JIOC Program
Location: Remote (with occasional customer-site engagement)
Peraton’s Defense Intelligence Solutions (DIS) sector is seeking a mission‑driven Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our high‑impact SITE III Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) Community of Interest team. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a critical intelligence technology portfolio that directly supports analysts, operators, and collection managers across Combatant Commands and the Intelligence Community.
About the Program
The JIOC program develops, maintains, and enhances a suite of mission applications focused on Collection Management, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), and intelligence operations. Our work ensures these tools remain robust, modern, and aligned with evolving mission needs—eliminating capability overlaps, improving performance, and driving future innovation.
What You’ll Do
As the Deputy Program Manager, you will be a key leader helping drive the success of an enterprise‑level mission technology portfolio. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, you will:
• Oversee software development and O&M activities, ensuring teams are aligned, informed, and consistently delivering high‑quality capabilities.
• Coordinate across multiple technical leads to assess progress, manage timelines, and take proactive action to remove obstacles and keep the mission on track.
• Serve as the program’s lead Subject Matter Expert—providing expert guidance to government partners, technical teams, and functional users.
• Manage and mentor the JIOC SME team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and mission focus.
• Lead one or more smaller O&M projects, including full responsibility for resource planning, interviewing/hiring, team leadership, and customer engagement.
• Brief customer stakeholders, participate in real‑time technical and functional discussions, and represent the program as a trusted partner.
• Act as the designated backup to the Program Manager—supporting functional, technical, financial, and contractual conversations and helping ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Contribute to long‑range planning and help shape future JIOC capabilities as mission needs evolve.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings a blend of technical understanding, program leadership, and customer‑facing confidence. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for collaborating across diverse teams.
• A talent for building consensus, listening to stakeholder needs, and conveying a clear vision forward.
• The ability to incorporate feedback, adjust plans as needed, and maintain momentum in fast‑moving mission spaces.
This is an exceptional role for a technical leader who wants to influence mission‑critical intelligence capabilities, guide teams, and partner directly with high‑visibility government stakeholders.
