Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Business Development Director with a solid track record of growing business at a primary restricted IC customer with the ability to identify and pursue related civilian and DOD IC customer opportunities. This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Leverage existing customer relationships as well as the ability to identify appropriate means for building new customer relationships.
  • Employ strong listening skills to understand the intersection of enduring IC mission challenges, Peraton tradecraft and technology capabilities. Successful candidates must be able to utilize this understanding to craft thoughtful win strategies that address critical customer challenges and shape acquisition opportunities to support customers through competitive acquisitions, on-contract growth, sole-sources, etc.
  • Manages resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that align to the company’s strategic campaigns that result in meaningful and measurable revenue growth.
  • Achieve acquisition and sales goals through winning new business, contract recompetes, teaming, and organic program growth.
  • Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan, and the associated pipeline, in alignment and consistent with corporate campaign strategy and goals.
  • Primary interface with customer community for assigned opportunities and customers.
  • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships.
  • Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to tailor and test solutions for customers.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 16 years related work experience with a minimum of 10 years’ experience directly applicable to building customer relationships, understanding critical customer challenges, and enabling business development within the IC.
  • Track record of being a self-starter that can independently engage customers and motivate cross-functional teams to drive pipeline and captures.
  • Deep and current understanding of customers mission and technology challenges.
  • Must demonstrate creativity, energy, integrity, business acumen, and professionalism.
  • Highly effective and self-aware communicator that can engage all levels within the company, within industry, and with customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four years additional, relevant work experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
