Program Overview
Performs data analysis, investigation, and medical review to detect, prevent, deter, reduce, and make referrals to recover fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
About The Role

SafeGuard Services (SGS), a subsidiary of Peraton, performs data analysis, investigation, and medical review to detect, prevent, deter, reduce, and make referrals to recover fraud, waste, and abuse.

We are looking to add a Medical Records Support Clerk to our SGS team of talented professionals

 

What You’ll do:

This position is to provide clerical support to medical review and investigator teams. Activities include logging cases, scanning, downloading files, filing and general clerical support. The Medical Records Support Clerk is responsible for handling incoming records for Medicare and Medicaid.

  • Be part of a team and willing to learn new tasks and duties
  • Prioritize work and manage multiple tasks at a time successfully.
  • Position will be onsite at Miramar, FL
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 2 years with AS/AA; 4 years with HS Diploma/equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong PC knowledge and skills including Microsoft programs and Adobe products.
  • Ability to organize, sort, and file documents
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Desirable Qualifications:

The most competitive candidates will have:

  • Experience with medical terminology and records handling preferred.
  • Ability to enter work into an automated log on an accurate and timely basis
  • Ability to sort and scan medical records
  • Ability to accurately handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ability to perform basic research using various systems
  • Ability to create correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally
  • Ability to handle confidential material.
  • Ability to report work activity on a timely basis.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to deliver high quality work
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
