Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Control Specialist with a strong focus on logistics and travel coordination to support our Surveillance team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will serve as a critical enabler of mission success—ensuring that field operations are seamlessly planned, executed, and supported in alignment with FAA surveillance initiatives.

 

You will act as a central point of coordination across program leadership, field personnel, and stakeholders, helping to drive operational efficiency, maintain schedule integrity, and ensure that all logistical and travel requirements are executed with precision. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive program control and operational support to ensure alignment with contract objectives, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead field logistics planning and deployment coordination, including equipment, personnel movement, and on-site readiness
  • Manage end-to-end travel coordination, including booking, itinerary management, expense tracking, and compliance with organizational policies
  • Coordinate site access requirements, including badging, clearances, and facility entry logistics for field teams
  • Support and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring accurate updates, milestone tracking, and alignment with program activities
  • Oversee personnel scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring the right resources are deployed at the right time
  • Track and report on field operations status, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improved efficiency
  • Serve as a liaison across cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and operational alignment
  • Support continuous process improvement efforts to enhance logistics, scheduling, and program execution effectiveness
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • 6+ years of relevant experience supporting program control and field operations, including logistics, deployment coordination, travel management, site access, scheduling, IMS support, status tracking, and stakeholder coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree (with high school diploma or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting programs within federal government environments
  • Familiarity with National Airspace System (NAS) programs, surveillance systems, or aviation-related operations
  • Experience working on large, complex government contracts or within multi-contractor environments
  • Proficiency with scheduling and program control tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar IMS tools)
  • Strong knowledge of travel systems, expense reporting tools, and federal travel regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume logistics and travel coordination in a dynamic, field-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams and field operations across multiple sites

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
