Program Overview
About The Role

The Project Manager – Visualization is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all data visualization, dashboard development, and visual mission analytics support activities under the CBP analytics and intelligence support program. This is a customer-facing project management role focused on delivery, quality, and stakeholder alignment.

This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality visual analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting products that support CBP operational awareness, executive decision-making, and mission outcomes. The Project Manager serves as the primary interface between CBP stakeholders, visualization developers, analysts, and contractor leadership, integrating requirements across technical and operational teams.

This position will support the mission in multiple locations:

  • Ashburn, VA
  • Sterling, VA
  • Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all visualization and dashboard development activities under the contract ensuring alignment with CBP mission priorities and schedules.
  • Oversee the transformation of analytical outputs into finished visual products suitable for executive, operational, and analytical audiences.
  • Manage visualization support for entity-relationship networks, pattern and trend analysis, cluster analysis, and statistical modeling, ensuring visual outputs are accurate, interpretable, and mission-relevant (this role manages visualization delivery, not analytic tradecraft ownership).
  • Coordinate the use of open-source and social media data for visualization purposes as required by specific CBP mission needs, in coordination with analytical teams.
  • Oversee the development of dashboards and visual reporting of performance metrics to support operational tracking, executive decision-making, and program oversight.
  • Collaborate with query, analytics, and data engineering teams to ensure visualizations are supported by validated, reliable Databricks and enterprise data sources.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, workload prioritization, and performance metrics related to visualization deliverables.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks related to data quality, visualization usability, stakeholder expectations, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure documentation of visualization requirements, design standards, data sources, and deployment procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver executive- and operator-level briefings, dashboard demonstrations, and visual analytics presentations for CBP leadership and mission stakeholders.

*Position is part of a proposal opportunity*
