Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

The Senior Systems Administrator (TACLAN) is responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and operational support of classified and unclassified Tactical Local Area Networks (TACLANs) supporting USSOCOM. This role ensures mission-critical systems remain secure, available, compliant, and operational across multiple security domains

 

  • Administer and maintain TACLAN environments.
  • Manage Windows Server, RHEL, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and virtualization platforms.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, backups, and lifecycle management.
  • Implement DISA STIGs, support RMF activities, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents; perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines.
  • Support audits, compliance efforts, and change management processes.
  • Provide Tier I, II support 
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance activities.
  • Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute mission-critical tasks in high-tempo operational environments.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Min 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA degree
  • A DoW TS/SCI clearance is required
  • DoW 8570.01-M IAT II
  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 – System Administrator - Intermediate level or higher.

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • CCNA/CCNP
  • Microsoft Server/Azure certifications
  • NIPRNet, SIPRNet and JWICS/COE/SOCRATES administration
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate across functional teams, provide leadership and mentorship, maintain attention to detail and accountability, and apply sound, mission-focused judgment while adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Experience administering Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V, PowerShell and Bash scripting, enterprise backup and storage, patch management, RMF and DISA STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, ACAS/SCAP/HBSS/ESS or similar security tools, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, network troubleshooting, TACLAN, and classified networks.

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
