About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Task 5 Lead/Security Specialist SME

 

Responsible for the performance and execution of all security task projects and activities. This includes the oversight of security management services to protect personnel, facilities, information, and systems critical to organizational operations. Additionally, the task lead will oversee the support of security clearance processing, program security management, and information security functions to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Lastly, the task lead will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of security programs across multiple classification levels and coordinate security activities with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.
  • Collaborates with customer points of contact, and corporate management in the identification of customer requirements. Oversees strategy and approach development and delivery of services to fulfil those support requirements.
  • Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for delivering high quality products and services per established deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Participates in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Program Management Office staff to fulfill talent lifecycle needs to maintain staffing resource levels.
  • Updates the staffing forecast as needed toprovide optimal resource allocation and uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for defining project scope and objectives through detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports to enable desired outcomes.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Formally presents information to customers, stakeholders, and management during recurring briefings and report submissions, to communicate work accomplishments or issues of concern in terms of mission impact, value creation, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation, and support.
  • Provides supervision and oversight of assigned personnel to nurture a high performing team. Completes performance management duties.
  • Provides Task-level management to build cohesion, foster positive morale, and create a high performing team to deliver services recognized by the customer as high value for mission accomplishment.
  • Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.
  • Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols, and other technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Min 12 years with BS/BA, Min 10 years with MS/MA, Min 7 years with PhD
  • At least 6 years of management level responsibility
  • 4 years experience in lieu of degree
  • Proven ability leading mid-sized (15-20 staff) teams
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-level stakeholders
  • Proven staffing experience

Desired

  • Program management and security experience in the IC
  • Experience briefing senior leadership on the status of projects
  • Experience as a PM on award fee contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively between multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience in measuring and delivering quality, and in implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Flexible, creative, and innovative approach to decision-making and critical thinking
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
